They werent made of fiberglass they were made of SMC TPO and urethane. nice find
Damn i could never be that lucky!!
I had one of these for my first “new” car. It was delightful. I loved everything about it.
Man , I really like your videos-easy to understand and straight to the point and i like all the visual aid to go with (supplies). Thanks for sharing . Too bad we weren’t neighbors . You would be of great help and encouragement because I need to do the same on my 74 f-100.
fiero parts are enless between stores facebook n forums. u set forsho. I'm working on my 86 fiero gt.
I can't wait for u to get started on this project. super fun forsho
I remember when I first got into fieros. fresh off of chevy corvairs. u don't see either
excellent find. nothing like finding a low miles fiero. that's a real rescue
Your asking alot out of that little mazda tribute
I have the same jack. Thing is super heavy..
what was the device you used to mount the starter to the back of your engine? Where to buy one Thanks
Awesome build serious guys thank you for sharing your Knowledge my uncle has an Porsche 914 in storage waiting to be restored thank you ct for the videos i own a Diecast Model Porsche 914 my self❤
Very cool! I hope you guys get it up and running soon. I will have more 914 videos soon.
Talking more than working.what a waste of time
I had a 1984 fiero just like this one. Got 110k miles out of it before it threw a rod. It was the same color.
Did you say the corvette would be going to a good home 😂😂 Keep up the great content i look forward to every new vid
That's awesome ! 👍
😃😃😃
I had a red ‘84 Pontiac Fiero 2M4 2.5 with an automatic. It was ultra sporty back in ‘88, but it was slow. Turn on the air conditioning … and it was even slower! Those were a conglomeration from the GM parts b department: Chevette front steering and suspension and the engine and transmission cradle from a front wheel drive Oldsmobile Omega, turned backward and the Omega transmission reworked to become rear wheel drive (so you didn’t have 4 reverse gears and one forward speed)! Non Fiero specific mechanical parts should be easy to find but trim and upholstery will need to be sourced from Fiero parts specialist and likely won’t be as cheap. Try contacting a GM dealer. Sometimes, with proof of ownership (the title) and the VIN, they might have access to the original key codes and might be able to cut you a key; some manufacturers have that info and some do not or, if the ignition was ever rekeyed, it wouldn’t work out.
Thanks for the info. I ordered a replacement key for now but it would be nice to have the factory key to match everything.
Exactly what I needed thanks!! Building one that was stripped so no idea where things go until now
I could not understand why the keys are always missing from cars that don't run. It's always entertaining watching you drag these cars home, making basket kits, but I hope you label and store the parts properly for the next guy.
Your getting soft on me buddy... =)
سيارة سخيفة 0:13
they are made in Denmark. at least they arent Dansk Pans that have slits that you have to weld and no holes for 30 buck cheaper lol
those are some f'ed up shoues man.....................
An hour to see this car pulled out of a garage
It's actually took about 4 hours....=)
Wow! Awesome job! What do I need to buy so I can start my engine outside of the car like this?
Thank you! do you have a carb or fuel injection?
@@CTmoog carb, thanks for responding
Ronald Ringer restored a 2m4. He made some great content. Watched his videos and that’s how I found your channel a while back.
Yes, I've seen some of those. He did a great job.
Yes they still make the windshield.
Good to know. Thank you!
No loud music,THANKS. A simple great car,,WAKE UP JAPAN, MAKE THE VW BEETLE AN AMERICANS WILL BUY THEM. NO COMPUTERS JUST SIMPLE MOTOR AN CAR.
YAWNNNN BORING IM DEFFO CONTEMPLATING UNSUBSCRIBING AT THIS POINT !!!
You are welcome back anytime. =)
Esse fusca é uma relíquia, bom trabalho amigo Yankee!
Why you never finish anything
We are getting there =)
I want this!!
Bought a 1984 Fiero new, great little car but lacking power (like most cars in that era). The body is actually plastic, not fiberglass and the 4-cylinder engine is the GM “Iron Duke” which is known for its durability and reliability. Good luck!
Thanks for the info! It will be a fun project. Hopefully get it back on the road soon.
🤗👍❤️👏
Thank you! =)
@@CTmoog very interesting video and a great find CT 👏👏👏
Most of them burned up mine did !!!
Yes, they have an overheating issue. I'm going to update the cooling system. I think there are a few mods now that fix the problem.
You could tell that it was going to hit the mirror, why did you keep on winching it? You had plenty of room to jack it up and move it to the left.
I had sweat in my eyes! haha! =)
Hi CT Why are you getting more projects. When you never finish the ones you have?
This one will be finished soon! =) Stick around!
Thanks for sharing this content. I have a degree in Laser Science from RUclips University and I can conclude lasers are NOT the way to go for removing rust off auto panels, and wheel rims. Lasers appears to leave a rough surface covered in scratches from the laser and noticed some areas where the rust was heavily built up where the laser only removed the surface rust of the rust piles and left these corrosive piles whereas a sander would knock down everything to a flat and smoother surface than the laser. HOWEVER, the laser cannot be beat when it comes to very detailed, narrow, hard to reach, hard to maneuver tight crevices. Then again a sandblaster could probably match the area coverage in these tight areas if not better since the sand can travel out of a straight line path whereas the laser cannot. (a good example was when he was lasing bolts sticking up creating a perfect shadow of rust behind them. The laser couldnt stretch or bed around the bolts.
what a P O S! Don't waste your time! Go with the Vette!
Awesome video man tomorrow I am definitely taking mines apart
😃
🥶
Name suggestion “Double Pepperoni”
haha! =)
Also, I’m pretty sure you were trying to winch the car out with it in gear
Yes, I think it was...the brakes were all seized as well.
I hope ADD isn’t contagious because if it is, we all have it now
I think you are on your way to owning a junkyard !
If only I had more land.... =)
🫡🫡🫡👍👍👍
My father had a Fiero GT when I was in Middle School. Awesome sporty little car. However it got totaled by a Ford Bronco that ran over the front of it by turning left from a right hand lane. Great looking cars, something Pontiac should have tried to keep going in my opinion. Cost effectiveness and the popularity of the Firebird kinda killed this thing. Good luck getting this one going!
Thanks man! They are neat little cars. I'd like to get a GT vs and a Firebird at some point. Those are pretty cool.
